Description Our Plano Real Estate client is seeking to permanent a Property Controller. This role involves overseeing Property Accounting Managers, managing the financial reporting for operating properties, and coordinating annual budget and quarterly re-forecast processes.

Responsibilities: • Supervise Property Accounting Managers and oversee a portfolio of operating office properties, including wholly owned and JV properties • Manage the Accounting and Financial Reporting needs for operating properties, including reviewing general ledger, financial statements, sub-ledger reconciliations, all GAAP adjustments, fixed asset accounting, and JV partner reporting • Conduct detailed reviews of assigned properties monthly • Oversee joint venture external audits with assistance from Property Accounting Managers, including tax requirements • Prepare quarterly cash projections and conduct monthly review of available cash for distribution for operating properties • Review leases of 10,000 to 25,000 square feet for operating properties • Handle Accounting-related items for acquisitions, including oversight of PPA, recording of acquisition, review of prorations, setup of leases for EP calculations, setup of partner reporting needs and oversight of year one budget to proforma • Train new Property Accounting Managers and coach all Property Accounting Managers and property accountants • Perform ad hoc reporting responsibilities as assigned • Utilize skills in 3M, Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, CapEx, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Budget Processes, Compliance, and Finance.
