Job Description:
This Digital Engineer Management Lead oversees and coordinates the cost/schedule/technical aspects of ongoing Digital Engineering Initiatives within Integrated Mission Systems (IMS) Engineering. This role will partner with the Segment Centers of Excellence Directors and Sector Chief Engineers to project manage the integration of Digital Engineering infrastructure initiatives across IMS and company cross-functional teams. Implementation of the Digital Engineering strategy will include Product Lifecycle Management PLM (Teamcenter), Model Based Design, Application Lifecycle Management, DevSecOps, Model Based Systems Engineering, and Digital Thread. Immediate primary effort is project lead for the execution of the PLM deployment plan across the Segment. This includes assessment of PLM deployment project to meet productivity, quality, and deliverable objectives. Role is responsible to develop mechanisms for monitoring engineering project progress (cost, schedule, and technical) and problem solving within deployment project teams. Responsible for developing champions and deployment of new concepts and technologies that realize L3Harris' objective of a fully integrated Digital Thread.
Essential Functions:
Manage the project plan aligned to the organizational vision and maintain the budget of Digital Engineering deployment initiatives.
Creation of a multi-organizational project plan and manage resources effectively to ensure project schedule
Lead Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) throughout the organization to ensure that the technical aspects of Digital Engineering Deployments meet the technical capability need of the organization and programs.
Coordinate with various Engineering Centers of Excellence, Sector Chief Engineers, Operations, and IT to ensure the Digital Engineering implementations achieve success.
Promotes Digital Engineering methodologies and methods throughout business, driving to achieve the Digital Engineering roadmap.
Travel may be required up to 20%
Other responsibilities determined by defined initiatives.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in engineering and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience; A master’s degree in engineering or a Master of Business and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
Requires ability to obtain a Secret Clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship
Experience leading engineering organizations or projects which are geographically diverse.
Minimum of 5 years of experience with Product Life Cycle Management (PLM)
Experience with one or more of the following areas:
Model Based Definition, Application Lifecycle Management, DevSecOps, Model Based Systems Engineering, Digital Thread
Preferred Additional Skills:
Familiarity with ITAR, EAR, and CUI regulations is preferred; This position may require access to export-controlled data and eligibility to work on certain projects may be restricted to U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR and EAR.
Experience with synthesizing complex information, familiarity with data collection and data analytics, and design workflows and procedures.
Gathers and analyses information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations.
Displays original thinking and creativity, develops innovative approaches and ideas; presents ideas.
Demonstrates leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experienced in project planning software tools, methodologies, and best practices.

Ability to identify and mitigate risks and issues to deployment schedules throughout project lifecycles.
Knowledgeable of industry standards, and regulatory requirements related to Digital Engineering initiative implementations.
