We are seeking an Accounting Assistant with expertise in QuickBooks to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage bookkeeping, invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable tasks. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth financial operations.
Responsibilities
Manage and maintain accurate bookkeeping records.
Handle invoicing and ensure timely payments.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Perform payroll duties and ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
Reconcile accounts and perform minor general ledger tasks.
Conduct data entry for financial transactions.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in QuickBooks.
Experience in accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Strong bookkeeping skills.
Ability to handle payroll tasks.
Experience with reconciliation and invoicing.
Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills.
Strong communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in the construction or engineering industry is preferred.
Minor general ledger experience is preferred.
Work Environment
The position is within a small branch of an engineering firm that focuses on site development. The company offers a diverse environment where team members are treated like family. Training will be provided in the office, with the potential for a hybrid work schedule (3 days in the office and 2 days remote).
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00
