Total Property Management Group Sweeper Truck Operator in PLAINWELL, Michigan

We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented individual to join our night shift team as a Sweeper Truck Operator. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of street sweeping equipment to maintain clean parking lots and roadways throughout our service area. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a commitment to maintaining a clean and healthy environment, and a valid driver's license.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely operate street sweeping equipment to remove debris, leaves, litter, and other waste materials from parking lots and roadways.
- Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating vehicles.
- Use smartphone apps for recording and reporting check-in and check-out times at each service location.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Properly dispose of collected waste materials.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, primarily during the overnight hours
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using smartphone apps
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating street sweeping or similar equipment
- 1+ years of experience in a related field
- Knowledge of local roadways and traffic patterns
- This is a 3rd shift position that includes weekends and holidays. The typical workweek will be 25-30 hours.
Benefits:
- Pay; $16 - $19 per hour, based on experience and a bi-weekly phone stipend of $15.00.
