DESCRIPTION

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Prefer significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Train Team Members : Ensure all team members are well-versed in safety and quality procedures, standardized work procedures, and any process changes. Maintain a training log to track progress.

  • Conduct Daily Checks : Regularly inspect equipment and machines to ensure they are in safe working order. Ensure operators are working ergonomically.

  • Take Corrective Actions : Address unsafe work conditions promptly and advise on ergonomic improvements.

  • Understand Equipment Hazards : Be knowledgeable about the operation and safety hazards of each piece of equipment in your area.

  • Report Incidents : Complete and forward close call and incident reports to the EHS Manager within 24 hours. Communicate safety issues with the team.

  • Maintain 5S Standards : Ensure workplace organizational standards are met and that 5S principles are followed.

  • Communicate Quality Issues : Share quality alerts and concerns with the team and develop corrective actions using the 8D process.

  • Ensure ISO 9001 Compliance : Assist in maintaining compliance with ISO 9001 standards and communicate responsibilities to team members.

  • Perform Quality Checks : Complete first and last piece checklists daily and assist in developing work instructions.

  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis : Investigate safety, quality, and production issues to prevent recurrence using appropriate corrective action processes.

  • Verify Repairs : Personally verify that defects listed as “repaired” are properly fixed and implement corrective actions.

  • Lead Continuous Improvement : Drive continuous improvement activities to eliminate waste and support process and productivity enhancements.

  • Encourage Suggestions : Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging team member suggestions and keeping them informed on the status of their ideas.

  • Measure Quality Standards : Be familiar with and able to measure all quality standards related to the team process.

  • Maintain Boards : Keep APS and hour-by-hour boards updated, including quality tracking charts and safety boards.

  • Respond to Andon Calls : Address Andon calls promptly to avoid production stoppages and make repairs while production is running.

  • Allocate Manpower : Assign tasks based on team member skills and cover for absenteeism as needed.

  • Perform Equipment Checks : Conduct equipment, forklift, machine, and tooling checks at shift start-up and report abnormalities.

  • Support Throughput Improvement : Identify and support opportunities to improve throughput and maximize value-added cycle time.

  • Control Costs : Understand and manage crib material spend and manpower costs through waste elimination.

  • Ensure Fair Job Rotation : Ensure job rotation among team members is fair and balanced.
