About the Role:

  • Ensuring continual process and performance improvement through leadership and development of Warehouse and Processing personnel

  • Creating, maintaining, and implementing performance standards and processes / procedures that drive excellent customer service, improved efficiency, and lower costs, while adhering to all Diageo CARM, Safety, Food Safety and Global Security requirements.

  • Understanding of all aspects of Lincolnway Processing Operations including safety requirements, batching and tank room operations, quality standards, and management of supply, SAP, budget requirements, inventory management, critical metric requirements, and other regulatory requirements.

  • Understanding of how the business is run in regard to plant objectives and operations, general regulatory guidelines, vendor/plant/corporate roles/responsibilities, as well as how systems interact in terms of inventory and financial reporting.

  • Knowing OSHA and TTB requirements as it relates to personnel and Warehouse & Processing Safety and regulatory mandates for spirits movements.

  • Run Lincolnway Warehouse staffing levels by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees

  • Lead Lincolnway staffing levels by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees

  • Responsible for relationship with third party equipment rental provider

  • Understanding Regulatory & Financial Compliance and Risk control requirements and have ability to establish, amend and maintain adequate procedures and processes to ensure product safety while maintaining minimal loss.

Financial Responsibility:

  • Responsible for achieving financial objectives by running the fixed and variable Warehouse, Shipping, & Processing budgets.

  • Position is responsible for developing and maintaining all processes and procedures that will maintain product integrity and facilitate an efficient operation.

Purpose of Role and Key Outputs:

  • This position will lead all Lincolnway Processing, Warehousing, Distribution and Shipping functions; all team leads and indirectly, union employees.

  • Provide direction of planning, organizing and controlling the staff to blend according to the manufacturing program.

  • Run the Processing operations including flavor/product blending and filtration, Government record keeping, shipping documentation preparation and ingredient inventory management for the production site.

  • Work close and in partnership with other Leadership team members to drive consistent best in class practice in regard to people and processes.

  • Implement any necessary systems, processes or procedures to increase efficiency while maintaining minimal inventory loss.

  • Ensure all production is accounted for in an appropriate manner including:

  • Leads ordering, receipt and inventory of raw materials, government record, alternating premise and product trace systems

  • Assures compliance with federal and state safety regulations to maintain safe working environment. Assures compliance with federal and corporate standard dealing with transportation of dangerous goods Development of hourly employees to perform in a self-directed environment; carry out employee policies and procedures; resolve employee issues

  • Run corporate programs, food safety, employee safety, GMPs and environmental.

  • Development and execution of Warehouse strategy, both short- and long-term

  • Lead the ‘Move’ portion of the Manufacturing Management System (MMS)

  • Safety = Zero Harm. Own & maintain safety improvement plans. Leverage the SIRC process improving safety mitigation and ensuring ZERO harm

  • Ensure schedule adherence and highest standard of reliable delivery building Diageo’s reputation as a great partner and enabling optimal in market inventory

  • Ensure highest quality standards for distributors and ensure “leading” status of Warehouse team

  • Believe wholeheartedly that super employee engagement enables all the above. Always seek out creative ways to engage with your most valuable asset.

  • Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP). Perform tasks per the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and follow general housekeeping guidelines and rules for Food Safety Regulations. Keep area updated with 5S.

  • Be innovative. Generate ideas to improve area of responsibility, communicating these ideas to appropriate personnel.

  • Responsible for inventory control, monthly destruction reporting and monthly shipping affidavits

  • Third Party Logistics: Ensure daily service levels are met & responsible for maintaining relationships with local trucking & warehousing providers.

  • Responsible for inbound material pallets & dunnage inventory

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • 4 year Bachelors Degree or equivalent (preferably in Engineering) and five plus years of leadership experience in fast paced and high-volume warehouse environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Track record of leading a team

  • Strong analytical and budgeting skills

  • Strong Communication and interpersonal skills

  • Computer literate – Intermediate Excel and Word /SAP experience

  • Excellent organization skills. Ability to handle multiple priorities, prioritize effectively, and manage time.
