Job Title: Foreman

Job Description

The candidate will be a carpenter foreman, primarily engaged in carpentry-related work but may also assist with concrete processes depending on the jobsite. The role involves working exclusively on interior trim or steel erecting, as well as assisting with general labor duties for commercial construction projects. Daily tasks will include the use of various hand tools and power tools such as drills, tape measures, hand saws, nail guns, and reciprocating saws to cut materials before framing.

Responsibilities

  • Perform carpentry-related work, including interior trim and steel erecting.

  • Assist with concrete processes and general labor duties for commercial construction projects.

  • Use hand tools and power tools daily, including power drills, tape measures, hand saws, nail guns, and reciprocating saws.

  • Work on local jobs in the surrounding Madison, WI area and travel to job sites across the state as needed.

Essential Skills

  • 4-5 years of lead or foreman experience in carpentry or steel.

  • Reliable transportation to job sites within 90 miles of Plain, WI.

  • Ability to lift 50-100 lbs repeatedly throughout the day.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in finish carpentry, general labor, blueprint reading, and framing.

  • Proficiency in using various hand tools and power tools.

Work Environment

Construction jobsite. Must be open to working in all weather conditions. Team size ranges from 5 to 80 crew members. Dress code includes steel toe or leather boots covering the ankle, jeans year-round, short sleeve shirts with a minimum 4" sleeve in the summer (no tank tops or muscle shirts), and no profanity on clothing. Standard work hours are 7am - 3:30pm (M-F) with potential for overtime based on project needs. Required personal hand tools, boots, hard hat, and high-visibility shirt. PPE such as safety glasses will be provided by the company.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of PLAIN, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00/hr.
