Role Profile

Position: Supply Chain Analyst

Job Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Job Type: Full-Time

Status: Exempt

Summary of the Role

Responsible for the analysis of LGG Industrial supply chain data & information; the Supply Chain Analyst reviews associated data, recommends areas for improvement, and leads projects to establish strategy to ensure the availability of materials, maintenance of inventory and operational / logistic efficiencies. They coordinate and integrate MRP parameters according to changing trends and challenges among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and customers; identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and capabilities of the supply chain. The Supply Chain Analyst team’s resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret supply chain data to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.

  • Rebate Tracking and Process Compliance: Growth Rebates and Customer Specific

  • Inventory Requests: Analyze and interpret inventory requests data to identify metrics by submitter, usage, trends and make recommendations to the Field Inventory Managers.

  • Process Improvement: Recommend and implement strategies to streamline supply chain processes, including logistics, warehousing, and distribution.

  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on supply chain metrics, trends, and performance indicators for senior management.

  • Project Management: Lead or participate in supply chain projects, including system implementations, process redesigns, or new product introductions.

  • Compliance: Ensure all supply chain activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

Skills and Abilities

  • Supply chain management / inventory control acumen including forecasting and planning

  • Robust organizational and planning skills and documentation rigor

  • Ability to drive change (process & culture) initiatives as a self-starter as well as lead cross-functional teams

  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to influence

  • Mix of mathematical and analytical skills with strategic and critical thinking

  • Autonomy to summarize and present data, synopses, action/project plans, etc. to influence peers and management

  • Strong verbal / written communication and networking skills

  • Experience working with quality tools and techniques to drive problem solving and continuous improvement activities

  • Involvement in implementation of Lean 5S, 6-sigma and other business improvement projects

Qualifications

  • Required travel approximately 10%

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics or Mathematics

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Analytics preferred

  • 5+ years of relevant supply chain experience, ideally within multi-location, complex industrial distribution environment

  • APICS or Supply Chain Management certifications preferred

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, SQL, and other advanced analytical models
