A non-profit organization in the East End of Pittsburgh is looking for a Staff Accountant.

The role is temporary to hire and hybrid schedule.

As a Staff Accountant, your responsibilities include:

• Processing accounts payable

• Processing payroll for employees

• Performing monthly bank statement and general ledger reconciliations

• Reviewing credit card transactions for proper recording

• Assisting in the development and monitoring of the annual budget

• Preparing monthly financial statements for department heads, senior leaders, and board members

• Maintaining vendor W-9 files and 1099 tax status in the accounting system

• Recording and monitoring pledges, donations, grants, product sales contracts and other accounts receivable

• Assisting in the preparation of grant budgets and reports

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar position

• Proven proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Demonstrated ability to perform Bank Reconciliations accurately

• Experience with General Ledger management and maintenance

• Familiarity with creating and posting Journal Entries

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in using Abila MIP software is a huge plus
