Curtiss-Wright Corporation Sourcing Compliance Specialist in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
EMD, a business unit of Curtiss-Wright in Cheswick, PA, is seeking a Sourcing Compliance Specialist to lead the Sourcing Team responsible for assuring compliance with internal, corporate, customer and government requirements. This position requires a self-motivated and self-directed individual capable of researching and understanding compliance requirements and working with a team of Sourcing individuals to assure compliant and efficient processes and systems are in place and are being followed. Individual must be able to stand firm behind the requirements even if pressured by others, but also to be flexible enough to determine when the regulations allow certain flexibility regarding conformance.

Your Challenge:
Ensures Team’s compliant execution of Government-approved Purchasing System and Estimating System.
Interface with customer, government, corporate and internal audits.
Develop and maintain Sourcing Departmental and Interdepartmental Policies and Procedure
Document and implement various processes necessary to support compliance to internal, customer and governmental requirements.
Present training and provide training documentation to Sourcing Department and related departments.
Support new employee development regarding compliance requirements, departmental procedures, and processes.
Employee is the guide to department management with regard to interpretation and implementation of regulatory requirements.
Implement Sourcing Department Internal Audit Process including periodic performance and documentation of internal audits and addressing Corrective Actions arising from the audit.
Keep abreast of commercial and federal regulation changes.
Develop and maintain tools necessary to support compliance, including Purchase Approval Support Documents as well as other compliance-based forms and tools.
Support small business subcontracting program.
Support Contracts during negotiation of customer contracts.
Develop/maintain Supplier facing terms and conditions, both general business terms as well as customer specific terms and conditions, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplements (DFARS).
Review Supplier terms and conditions exceptions and provide guidance to Sourcing personnel.
Maintain processes to assure applicable terms and conditions are incorporated in Requests for Quote and Purchase Orders.
Provide technical support for the evaluation of supplier exceptions to various regulations, including FAR and DFARS.
Support Cost and pricing audit activities for supplier activities exceeding the Truthful Cost or Pricing Data threshold.
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience in procurement compliance role(s).
At least 10 years of experience of a highly regulated industry, preferably in the Defense or Commercial Nuclear industry.
Strong knowledge and experience with Government contracting practices, including hands-on experience with FAR/DFARS, contract negotiations, and related laws and regulations.
Legal Background a plus.
Experience with Contractor Purchasing System Reviews (CPSR) and small business subcontracting programs a plus.
Understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding planning, scheduling, purchasing, supplier selection and cost analysis.
Excellent cross-functional interpersonal, facilitation, and leadership skills.
Self-starter, highly-motivated, action-oriented, proactive, collaborative, and results-driven.
Excellent organization, communication (written and oral), time management, and presentation skills.
Comfortable presenting to, and interfacing with, customers, government auditors and auditing agencies.
Must be sole US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance
