We are currently in search of a proficient Senior Payroll Accountant to join our team on a contract basis to cover a leave of absence. This role is hybrid with 3 days a week on site. This individual will handle day-to-day payroll operations, prepare periodical journal entries, and be capable of working in an accounting-related capacity.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Address recurring payroll duties, including semimonthly pay runs and off-cycle payrolls.

• Functioning in a non-union environment, handling payroll for both hourly and salaried employees

• Prepare regular and consistent journal entries, particularly during month and quarter-end closes.

• Communicate with employees regarding timesheet inquiries.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven accounting-related experience, particularly involving payroll.

• Comfort with repetitive work and the ability to follow instructions to a tee.

• Advanced knowledge of Excel

• Exceptional communication skills in order to effectively liaise with team members and employees over payroll matters.

• Prior clerical experience and excellent organizational abilities.
