UPMC Psychologist I - Pittsburgh Area Center for Treatment of HIV (PACT) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

UPMC Western Wellness is seeking a Licensed Psychologist for a full-time position integrated into the Pittsburgh Area Center for Treatment of HIV (PACT). PACT, part of the UPMC Center for Care of Infectious Diseases and a Ryan White Center for Excellence, is comprised of a dedicated team of experts in HIV creating an outpatient, patient-centered medical home. The center provides complete care to more than 1,700 persons 18+ years of age living with HIV. This practice routinely earns outstanding ratings on its care and has been a leader in comprehensive, multidisciplinary, integrated care.

The position requires a compassionate and competent psychologist who will provide direct, individual therapy to adults while collaborating within the larger medical environment. The candidate for this position will provide clinical assessment and treatment of patients ages 18 and over with diagnosed and undiagnosed mental health needs. Experience and expertise in treating complex trauma and PTSD, drug and alcohol issues, chronic pain, and chronic illness with underserved and marginalized populations strongly preferred. In addition, part of the position has reserved time to further identify mental health needs and develop services within PACT.

The schedule for this role will be mostly daylight hours, with flexibility regarding scheduling that will meet the needs of the psychologist and the department. On-call hours are not required, and the position is supervised by a Lead Psychologist. The position is located at the Falk Medical Building and Webster Hall, with the intention to become a hybrid remote work schedule.

Sign-On Bonus Details:

$5,000 for a 2-year work commitment

$7,000 for a 3-year work commitment

In addition to the sign-on bonus, there are productivity incentives to further increase pay.

Responsibilities:

· Provides crisis sessions to support and assist patients experiencing acute distress and/or symptoms, as needed.

· Provides behavioral health services, using empirically validated treatments and interventions.

· Participates in regular supervisory meetings with direct supervisor to review adherence to program standards.

· Demonstrates ability to maintain accurate and complete records and data collection, performed in a timely fashion.

· Demonstrates highly developed knowledge and skill in the area of differential diagnosis of psychiatric disorders.

· Consults and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams regarding patient care and treatment planning.

· Maintains current knowledge of relevant literature and empirically validated treatments.

· Performs psychological assessment with accurate diagnostic impressions.

· Provides behavioral health services using an acute and maintenance model.

· Schedules sufficient volume of patients so that direct service productivity standards are maintained within the department.

· Maintains knowledge of the literature relevant to the assigned patient population.

· Works collaboratively with other service lines at UPMC and outside agencies assuring continuity of care with referral sources and other providers.

· Doctoral degree in Psychology (PsyD or PhD) from an accredited institution.

· 1 years of experience in Psychology or related field preferred.

· Excellent clinical interviewing and assessment/therapy skills to work with patients and families.

· Strong interpersonal skills.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

Active PA Psychology License

· Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

· Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)

· Psychologist

· Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal

· Act 33 with renewal

· Act 34 with renewal

· Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
