Post Doctoral Associate Med-Immunology - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (25000267)

A Postdoctoral Associate position in Systems Immunology is available under the mentorship of Dr. Rachel Gottschalk (Department of Immunology) at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine. The candidate will integrate computational biology and experimental immunology approaches to understand mechanisms of immune signaling.

The Gottschalk group is seeking competitive candidates who possess outstanding critical thinking skills and ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team. Experience in developing computational models of molecular pathways and performing various forms of model analysis including parameter estimation and parameter sensitivity analysis will be highly valued.

Candidates will work directly with Dr. Gottschalk and with members of the Gottschalk lab to build models of immune cells and support ongoing projects. Candidates with a computational biology training background will have the opportunity to gain skills in experimental techniques. The candidate will also develop several career related skill sets, including manuscript preparation and oral presentations for an interdisciplinary systems immunology audience.

Qualifications: Candidate must have earned a PhD/MD Degree in the field of Computational Biology or related field.
