Maintenance Tech
Direct Hire
Dayshift - 6am to 2 pm
Key Responsibilities
The Maintenance Technician (Electrical Construction Mechanical) is responsible for:
- The installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery, equipment, and plant infrastructure.
- Ensures that equipment and utilities are operating efficiently, contributing to the smooth operation of the organization.
- Repair, maintain, and install machinery, including boilers, heaters, pumps, compressors, and other mechanical systems.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections, ensuring all equipment is fully operational.
- Maintain plant utilities, such as gas, water, and drainage systems, and install/repair piping and associated equipment.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety policies and local building codes.
- Maintain accurate installation records and maintenance histories for equipment and facilities.
- Requisition necessary parts and supplies to maintain equipment.
- Keep the work area clean and organized, adhering to company standards.
- Promote and support the organization's safety and quality initiatives.
- Oversee inventory for necessary tools, parts, and supplies.
- Coordinate activities with contractors and manage project schedules for equipment installations and infrastructure maintenance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Mechanical aptitude with skills in plumbing, carpentry, welding/fabrication, and masonry.
- Must be able to read blueprints, schematics and technical manuals.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills for record-keeping.
- Communication and teamwork abilities.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Education & Experience Requirements • Trade school certification preferred. • 1-4 years of experience in equipment maintenance, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Trainings and Certifications provided
• On-the-job training (first 90 days - unless comparable training has been completed at a previous job.) • Safety certifications within the first six months of employment.
Work Environment -- Must be able to lift and maneuver 65 lbs without physical restrictions.
