The Cigna Group Pharmacy Technician Supervisor - Accredo - Remote - TN, FL, PA in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

POSITION SUMMARY

Supervises the Pharmacy Technicians and controls operations of front-end pharmacy technician work for both PACE and Prolastin teams. Works with the upper leadership to develop policies, procedures and the business to manage workflow and meet contractual requirements. Oversees productivity, quality, and service metrics and leads process improvement initiatives within the department. Oversees hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, developing and evaluating their staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Supervises the team of the pharmacy technicians. Evaluates technician performance, provides feedback, and oversees resolution of employee relations issues.

  • Oversees hiring and training of new hires.

  • Develops and tracks compliance to quality, productivity, and service standards.

  • Works with upper leadership to develop strategic business work plan goals. Tracks and periodically reports progress to the upper leadership team.

  • Collaborates with other internal departments to ensure consistent workflow.

  • Collaborates with Resource Management Group (RMG) for staffing and budgeting purposes.

  • Implement programs and process improvements to enhance the level of internal and external customer service provided. Work with upper leadership to analyze operations and overall efficiencies of the pharmacy technician teams.

  • Serve as a point of escalation for issues requiring a higher degree of expertise or discretion to resolve.

  • Represent pharmacy operations in cross-functional meetings and projects.

  • Special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Valid Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration as required by state laws.

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician is peferred.

  • 6 months or more of management experience, preferred.

  • PC knowledge including Microsoft applications Excel.

  • Strong knowledge of current pharmacy regulations.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to effectively develop, train and coach less experienced team members with the patience to explain details and processes repeatedly.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment, make independent decisions.

  • Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions.

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule for peak times.

Work Schedule: Typically Monday through Friday 8 am -5pm CST
