Trinity Health Mental Health Aide (Part-Time) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Position Purpose:

The Mental Health Aide will provide therapeutic support and milieu maintenance with children and adolescents in a Child Crisis Residential (CIRCA) setting. You will conduct socialization activities, assist with day-to-day personal care needs of consumers, provide crisis prevention interventions, and provide individual interventions including case management support.

What you will do:

  • Manage consumer urgencies and emergencies with appropriate follow-up

  • Complete progress notes each scheduled shift by policy and procedure

  • Maintain medical record documentation according to organization policies and procedures

  • Review the mental health history of all consumers through the clinical documentation

  • Work with consumers to develop a comprehensive treatment plan

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social/Human Services field OR High School Diploma/Equivalent and 1 year of direct care experience

  • Must be 21+ years of age

  • Valid Driver’s license and ability to operate an organization vehicle

  • Pre-employment drug screen, physical and tb, Act 33/34/73 clearances

Schedule: This is a part-time non-exempt position (up to 30 hours/week)

  • 11pm – 7am OR 12pm – 8am
