Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Market Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will establish partnerships with source system data owners to understand and document data requirements, ensuring data quality and compliance within our organization. You will play a critical role in analyzing, querying, and manipulating data, performing root cause analysis for data errors, and preparing ad-hoc reports for management.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $70 - $75 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:

  • Establish partnerships with source system data owners to understand and document data requirements, including scope, limitations, attribute definitions, and linkages to other datasets.

  • Utilize strong data management and metadata analysis skills to ensure data integrity and quality.

  • Analyze, query, and manipulate data according to defined business rules and procedures.

  • Perform root cause analysis for data errors, research the scope and complexity of issues, interpret findings, and identify steps for remediation.

  • Prepare ad-hoc reports at the request of managers and other leaders.

  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of your work, conducting thorough research on queries and providing accurate responses.

  • Work in a deadline-driven environment, managing pressure and adapting to changing work conditions.

  • Implement and measure data quality and controls, ensuring adherence to data quality standards.

  • Determine the business impact level for data quality issues and recommend long-term solutions.

Experience Requirements:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to understand compliance policies and process tasks according to procedures.

  • Excellent organization, documentation, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting preferred, but not required if the candidate has relevant skills and experience.

  • Experience in banking, product/financial services, auditing, or compliance is preferred.

  • Knowledge of structuring data environments and applications that use big data processes is a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of Excel and experience with issue management systems.

  • Familiarity with logical data models.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
