DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position performs various tasks in the repair and maintenance of buildings, grounds, machinery, and equipment. Duties include repairing doors, doorframes, and furniture; installing electric circuits, wall outlets, and lighting fixtures; repairing and installing plumbing fixtures, sinks, fountains, and related equipment; and repairing steam heating and cooking equipment such as stoves, ovens, slicers, and kettles. Other duties include repairing roofing, flashing, and spouting; performing masonry work in connection with buildings, foundations, walkways, and walls; and maintaining equipment and tools to ensure good working condition.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week Work hours are 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Wednesday to Sunday, with 30-minute lunch. Please check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1; or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities. Special Requirement: This position will require possession of a valid driver's license. Additional Requirement:

You must be able to perform essential job functions. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in commercial carpentry Experience in the plumbing trade Experience working in the electrical trade field Experience working in the maintenance and repair of refrigeration and/or HVAC systems Experience in commercial maintenance of buildings and equipment Experience with 3-phase wiring to include emergency generators, Automatic Transfer Switches, switch gears and 3-phase panels Experience with domestic hot water mixing valves, recirculating loops, aqua stats and instantaneous water heaters Experience with the provisions of Life Safety Codes and Uniform Construction Code (UCC), as it relates to repairs of buildings Structural experience in the maintenance or repair of buildings Experience in the maintenance or repair of buildings at a long-term care facility Legal Requirements:

A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
