DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: As Logistics Supervisor, Export Operations , you will have responsibility for supervising PPG air, drayage & ocean logistics operations. Your role will provide analytical, technical, and operational support and supervision to ensure maximum efficiency and timely supply chain performance for the SBUs for their international transportation. You will report to the Sr. Manager, International Logistics.

Key Responsibilities * Make decisions regarding booking optimization for air & ocean shipments to PPG customers and affiliates. * Serve as our subject matter expert on daily air, drayage & ocean export operations. * Work with ocean carriers and freight forwarders to ensure capacity needs are met. * Support timely execution of international shipments. * Obtain competitive spot pricing for new ocean/air lanes. * Create standard work and standard operating procedures for international logistics operations. * Initiate and develop logistics evaluations to provide guidance to the SBUs within PPG. * Develop and implement processes that that demonstrate an improvement of current supply chain practices. * Develop relationships with ocean lines, freight forwarders, and terminals to improve service and capacity. * Resolve immediate and long-term transportation issues. * Monitor equipment availability at major ports and inland terminals. * Support procurement activities involving carrier and third-party selection. * Liaison with internal SBUs on issues related to international logistics. * Maintain itineraries and routing guide in Oracle transportation management.
Qualifications * A Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, transportation, business, or equivalent and 7+ years of experience with 5+ years supervisory experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management. * Oracle Transportation Management experience is a plus
