DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Arconic has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Logistics Coordinator within our Corporate Transportation Procurement organization. This position will report to the Transportation operations Manager and can be situated either at our Headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA, or at one of our Production Plant locations (Davenport, IA - Alcoa, TN - Lancaster, PA). This individual will be innovative, analytical, process driven, and team oriented with an entrepreneurial approach to problems.

This role will be responsible for supporting plant transportation planners with complex shipment bookings, act as knowledge expert in utilization of TMS system, working with carrier base to support process efficiency for shipment planning and execution, manage carrier rate maintenance and routing guides, lead projects focused on process optimization, and is fundamental to the advancement of the Transportation organization within Arconic. We will look to this individual in developing fresh, creative, and effective ideas that drive transparency, process optimization, compliance, and cost savings with the overarching target of broadening & strengthening our service level to our stakeholders and customers.

Responsibilities Key Deliverables / Focus of this role: * Drive utilization of BluJay Transportation Management System (TMS) * Sustaining high level performance with: Routing Guide Compliance, Sourcing Lead Time Compliance, Perfect Load Automation, On-time pickup and delivery metric performance, & carrier scorecard metrics, etc * Lead projects to continuously evaluate and standardize process flows for Transportation Operations to optimize efficiency through automation. * Effectively support the sites by assisting in requests to the Transportation Operations team. * Continuous training and utilization of the TMS system across the entire Transportation Operations team to drive efficiency, knowledge and optimize costs for Arconic. * Establish and track Key Performance Indicators that drive continuous improvements.  * Liaise with key stakeholders (Strategic Transportation sourcing, Logistics Planning, Marketing, Finance, & Supply Chain, Carriers) to ensure business objectives are achieved.

Primary Responsibilities * Logistics Coordinator acts as the escalation point for the sites and suppliers to support and manage shipments which require a high level of urgency, are complex in nature, MSO shipments, or those that require special attention. * Acts as knowledge expert in utilization of TMS system. * Coordinates shipments with carriers for location and supplier specific requests to ensure shipments are scheduled, requirements are meet, and shipments deliver on time to meet the locations time frame. * Supports sites with finding solutions for required expedited shipments. * Arranging hot shot shipments and obtaining internal approval for quoted expedited charges, * Working with carriers to reroute and prioritize shipments when needed, * Tracking progression of shipments and providing status updates to stakeholders. * Supports Freight Payment team by creating shipments in TMS to resolve carrier statements which include shipments without shipment records in the TMS system. This includes collaborating with stakeholders to ensure shipments are valid prior to entry, root cause of the issue, and working with stakeholders and the locations/suppliers to ensure compliance with the defined process in the future. * Abides by all policies and established system processes to ensure effective selection of lowest cost carriers at negotiated rates. * Rate Management: Receives requests for carrier rate changes from the Category Managers and updates rates within the TMS System and ensures planned shipments within the TMS system have rates established. * Provide Holiday coverage when locations are operating to ensure critical shipments are planned without delay. * Responsible to support suppliers for inbound deliveries including, assisting suppliers in utilization of the TMS system, establishing user accounts, creating templates, training, and troubleshooting requests from suppliers.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree (preferred) in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management from an accredited college or university * 3 years of experience in Production and/or Transportation Planning, Business Analytics, Supply Chain. * Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. * This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications * Strong Microsoft office skills required (PPT & Excel). Knowledge of SAP, BluJay TMS, Six Sigma/Lean methodologies. * Good understanding of warehouse and transportation procedures/operations; strong problem solving, organization, decision-making, communication, and time management skills. * Strong analytical skills. * Collaborative teamwork skills. * Communication skills. * Project Management. * Decision-making. * Innovative thinker * Knowledge of SAP, BluJay TMS, Six Sigma/Lean methodologies preferred.
