Fortive Corporation Leave of Absence Administrator in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Position Summary: The LOA (Leave of Absence) Administrator at Fortive is essential to improving the employee experience through effective management of LOA requests. This role provides specialized guidance on LOA policies, ensuring compliance with company procedures and legal standards. The LOA Administrator serves as the resident expert for all leave-related concerns, offering support to employees and working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer all U.S.A. leave programs, including Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, FMLA, State Leaves, and Parental Leave.

  • Act as the primary liaison for employees and managers for all LOA-related inquiries and coordination with leave vendors.

  • Reviewing LOA inbox notifications and ensuring appropriate action is taken.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve claim issues, ensuring timely follow-ups and recertifications.

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for triaging payroll inquiries related to leaves of absence, conducting preliminary analysis of issues for the LOA Manager's review to ensure accurate resolution of leave-related payroll matters.

  • Continuously seek and implement process improvements to refine leave administration and elevate the employee experience.

  • Develop and sustain effective relationships with external service providers for leave administration.

  • Collaborate with managers and HR business partners (where needed) to ensure precise processing of benefit transactions.

  • Generate and distribute relevant leave reports to stakeholders and partner with the legal team on leave and ADA compliance matters.

  • Guide the ADA interactive process and advise on accommodation requests.

  • Act as back up for leave of absence requests within the region, including Canada and LATAM.

Position Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in U.S.A. Leave of Absence management.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of LOA compliance regulations and legal obligations.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • A steadfast commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics.

  • Outstanding communication capabilities, both in writing and verbally.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a Shared-Services environment is advantageous.

Experience with a case or ticketing system, ServiceNow is preferred.

  • Knowledge of Oracle and ADP (Global View) systems is beneficial.

  • Background in mergers and acquisitions is a plus.
