Amergis Interventional Radiology Technician in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technician to perform avariety of complex specialized tasks eminent in operating radiographicequipment to perform vascular and neuroradiology angiographic andinterventional procedures.
EssentialDuties and Responsibilities:
Perform complexspecialized tasks associated with the operation of radiographic equipment tomake special study radiographs of designated body portions in accordance withradiation safety procedures.
Position patients; immobilize as necessary.
Assistradiologist during angiographic and interventional procedures.
Operatefluoroscopic equipment.
Positionpatients for rapid sequence filming during contrast media administration.
Setup sterile trays and other equipment practicing sterile technique.
Assistradiologist during procedure to include handling of instruments, operating andmonitoring equipment, calling out equipment readings; alerting physician tochanges in patient condition.
Scrub toassist with passage of catheters/guide wires.
Loadpower injectors with contrast media; prepare for injection.
Processfilm, collate in sequence and label appropriately. Maintain film archival system.
Schedulepatient procedures from referring physician'soffices.
Chargepatients for procedures and supplies
Maintainpatient records and statistical data.
Coordinatescheduling and patient flow;
Adheresto The Company and worksite rules, policies andprocedures.
Otherduties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
HighSchool Diploma or Equivalent
SuccessfulCompletion of a 24-mnth AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology
Currentstate licensure or certification, if required by state regulations or contract specifications
One(1) year experience in Interventional Radiology preferred.
CurrentBLS card.
Successfulcompletion of Amergis Healthcare Staffing testingprocess.
Currentphysical exam, if required by state regulations or contract specifications.
Current TBtest or chest x-ray.
