As a Finance Specialist Senior within PNC's C&IB Finance/PNC Real Estate organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA.
This position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at manager’s discretion.
Position Overview:
Corporate & Institutional Banking (C&IB) Finance is a diverse and collaborative team committed to providing C&IB executive and senior management strategic counsel, meaningful reporting and analysis and critical insights into business and financial metrics to drive results.
This position involves specifically supporting PNC Multifamily Capital (Agency
Finance and Tax Credit Solutions) along with the broader PNC Real Estate line of business. The Senior Financial Specialist role includes opportunities to interact with Finance and LOB leadership while contributing across the full suite of Finance core competencies including, but not limited to:
Management Reporting-
Provide respective C&IB executive and senior management with monthly internal reporting on the results of operations. Develop insightful financial analysis and business metrics to ensure executives have a clear understanding of the business drivers contributing to the financial results.
Budgeting/Forecasting-
Lead annual budget process and monthly forecast updates. Evaluate the impact of economic and market trends on anticipated future results and ensure timely communication of anticipated material impacts on financial results to executive and senior management.
Strategic Plan-
Lead and contribute to the annual strategic plan process. Serve as an objective and independent business advisor to collaborate with LOB executives in the development of strategic objectives and quantification of estimated financial impacts (e.g., ensuring positive operating leverage contributing to PNC’s overall earnings objectives).
CCAR-
Execute the semi-annual CCAR/DFAST stress testing procedures and deliverables including working with key business and internal finance partners (Corporate Control, Asset and Liability Management) to evaluate and challenge the PPNR financial estimates for relevant scenarios.
Accounting, External Reporting and Regulatory Requirements-
Support month-end close and quarterly disclosure cycles. Assist the business in understanding financial accounting implications of business initiatives working collaboratively with other internal Finance areas (i.e., Accounting Policy, SEC Reporting and Regulatory Reporting). Also includes providing information and support for press releases, SEC filings, presentations to the Board of Directors, presentations to Regulators, CCAR and DFAST filings, BASEL, and regulatory capital reporting, Living Will documentation, SOX testing, etc. Additionally, LOB Finance works closely with Accounting Policy and SEC Reporting on the adoption, and subsequent reporting, of new Accounting Standards.
Ad Hoc Request, Analytical Business Support and Other Special Projects
Collaborate with key financial decision makers within the business via ad hoc data analysis as issue or opportunities arise on a periodic basis. Contribute toward cross-departmental Finance special projects. Support various risk management reviews (e.g., risk compliance, audit, etc.), continuous improvement plan efforts, technology initiatives, business combinations and executive management presentations as needed.

Provides and may lead a variety of financial management and accounting services.
Prepares internal financial and business metric reports and provides information to support quarterly and annual external reports.
Leads annual budget process and monthly forecast updates and may lead or contribute to strategic plans.
Delivers performance monitoring and communications and ad hoc finance and accounting analysis, which may include management accounting analysis. Identifies the accounting practices of the business and collaborates with the business on implementation of new accounting standards that impact the business.
Delivers information in response to requests and requirements of auditors, regulators, and investors. Prepares financial data and analysis to support risk management and identifies and escalates key risks to management. May also contribute to risk review and challenge for assigned business. Promptly identifies and addresses control matters; maintains sound control processes. Compiles data used for Stress Testing Projections.
