DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Entry Level Environmental Technician - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions to many of the world's top-recognized brands and companies, is actively seeking an Entry Level Environmental Technician to join our Environmental team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. What are we looking for? The Entry Level Environmental Technician willsupport the environmental business by conducting environmental consulting work. This includes performing phase I and II environmental site assessments, remedial action site activities, asbestos related work and more. This position will require some off-shift and overtime work, as well as occasional travel.
Shift/Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, can vary depending on workload
What you'll do: * Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) * Phase II/Subsurface Investigations * Remedial Action Site Activities * Asbestos/Lead Based Paint/Mold Surveys * Asbestos/Lead Based Paint/Mold Abatement Monitoring * Asbestos/Lead Based Paint/Mold Clearance Sampling

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED equivalent * Knowledge of regulatory requirements * Must be able to read and understand scope of work / work plans * Must be able to work off shifts and overtime * Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record required
Preferred Requirements & Qualifications: * Associate's degree or 2-Year Technical Degree * Experience in environmental consulting services * Onsite Subsurface Investigation oversight * Asbestos and Industrial Hygiene experience and license
Physical Requirements: * Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently. Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance. * Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound. * Ability to kneel and squat occasionally * Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time * Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions (hot and cold) * Ability to climb occasionally
