Overall Purpose: The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Associate provides technical and regulatory compliance expertise and support for all business lines. Supports environmental, health & safety compliance activities through direct participation in audits, studies, investigations, and reports. Responsible for maintenance and administration of select Company programs, and management of internal and externa resources allocated to the EHS group.

Job Responsibilities: Support DLC efforts to continuously improve its safety culture by participating in activities and on cross-functional teams. Support EHS Managers in achieving overall regulatory compliance of Company activities through managing various programs. Stays current on all new and proposed federal and state regulations. Serves as a technical resource for writing and revising company procedures as required to comply with regulations. Responsible for supporting EHS compliance by conducting field audits (as required) and ensures that Company policies and procedures are being followed. Manage and administer the Company SDS system and Industrial Hygiene programs (Lead, Asbestos, Hazard Communication) Lead and support EHS project initiatives as assigned. Assist in maintaining EHS management incident database, producing reports, analyzing trends, and responding to inquiries about Company performance, including OSHA recordkeeping. Design, manage, and conduct industrial hygiene field studies related to worker exposures, including but not limited to: air and noise sampling, area noise, asbestos, lead wipe surveys, IAQ investigations, and heat stress as appropriate. Prepare and conduct EHS training sessions (live and virtual) as needed to support Company policies and procedures, including preparing of charts, graphs, and presentations. Will be on-call as scheduled or as necessary for emergency call out rotation. (Storm response and environmental spills). Investigate incidents. Identify root causes of issues and develop corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence. Writes reports detailing investigation and recommended preventive measures. Assist in leading and developing the EHS Evolution Imperative / Roadmap. Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Safety Management or related discipline required. Advanced relevant degree(s) preferred. Three (3+) or more years of relevant experience. Industry certifications such as CSP, ASP, GSP, CIH, or others are preferred. Valid driver's license required.

Skills: Strong Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with EHS-specific software for recordkeeping and other EHS processes is a plus. Ability to analyze and develop strategies to efficiently schedule and manage projects. Ability to become proficient in environmental requirements and safety policies & procedures as they apply to the Company. Strong interpersonal and communications skills. Strong organizationaland time management skills. Ability to present in a professional manner and represent the company image. Eligible for additional certifications as may be required to supp rt job functions (ex. Asbestos Building Inspector; Class A/B Storage Tank Operator, etc.) A team focused individual with a continuous improvement mindset.

Scope: Primary focus is on daily deliverables, outputs and reporting. Typically accountable for managing one's own time and workflow. Responsible for using prescribed guidelines to analyze situations and solve problems. Work activities are typically moderate to complex in nature, requiring the incumbent to draw on previous knowledge to perform role. Continues to build knowledge base but has a solid foundation to act independently the majority of the time. Still draws on experts and managers when needed but less frequently.

Hybrid Work Position follows our hybrid work model, with a minimum of two days working in the office and the remaining days working remotely. Reporting location and frequency may be subject to change based on job role and department needs.
