Siemens Energy Engineer in Training - EHS Specialist in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

A Snapshot of Your Day:

This position is needed to ensure that the SE GS NA has the allotted number of EHS Specialist for the upcoming outage maintenance demands. Additionally, having a site EHS Specialist will help mitigate potential hazards and risks, prevent incidents and accidents, and promote a culture of safety. This role is crucial in protecting the health and safety of employees, customers, and the environment, as well as ensuring that the company operates in a responsible and sustainable manner!

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Lead site project safety programs including, Safety Meeting, Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Rigging & Lifting, Scaffolding & Ladders, Confined Space, Hazardous Materials, and Material Handling.

  • Professional interaction with customer leadership and with SE senior leadership.

  • Provide EHS compliance mentorship to project teams.

  • Reporting and site documentation

  • Environmental and chemical programs

  • Safety incident management, reporting, and investigation. Develop and improve safety procedures.

What You Bring:

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in safety & occupational health, Industrial Technology/Environmental Health and Safety, Safety Technology, Engineering, or similar. Experience.

  • Appropriate experience may be considered in lieu of a college degree.

  • Candidates can work anywhere but will be deployed to any area of the United States to support outages.

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
