Job Title: Electrical EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to support a reputable A&E firm with a large presence in the Midwest, including offices in Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana. The firm primarily focuses on publicly funded projects for state and federal work, including jails, correctional facilities, municipality buildings, first responder buildings, fire stations, police stations, distribution centers, and postal services. The role involves project management, quality control, and design within Revit, with occasional travel to client sites throughout the Midwest.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects for various clients across Ohio, Michigan, and Florida.

  • Provide oversight to the production of drawings.

  • Perform quality control and check documents produced by less tenured designers/drafters.

  • Design within Revit as needed.

  • Assist other MEP teams located throughout the Midwest.

  • Travel to client sites to interface with customers and provide solutions to project issues.

  • Answer client questions and concerns.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in Revit MEP and electrical MEP design.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Experience mentoring less tenured designers/drafters.

  • Ability to produce and check construction documents.

  • +8 years of experience in the field.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Professional Engineering license.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior experience managing commercial projects.

  • Understanding of building design, facility design, and commercial construction.

Work Environment

This position offers a 100% remote work environment for individuals located in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, or Pennsylvania, with occasional travel to client sites and company offices in the Midwest. The role includes the flexibility to work from home, with the need to live near a major city with a large airport for convenient travel. The position provides 9 paid holidays and the opportunity to enroll in Udemy academy after 6 months of employment.
