ummary:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering principles and hands-on experience with designing, developing, and testing electrical systems and components from concept/preliminary assessments to detailed design phases.

Your Role:

·       Prepare engineering documents and drawings following specifications, codes and regulations. -Typical drawings and documents include equipment specifications, MCCs, single line diagrams, grounding, area classification, equipment & instrument layouts, conduit & tray layouts, conduit & cable schedules, panel schedules, heat trace, lighting layout, wiring diagrams, control schematics, P&IDs, PLC diagrams and instrumentation.

·       Execute basic engineering calculations for cable and protection sizes.

·       Review vendor and manufacture drawings and specification.

·       Checking electrical package(s) prior to submittal.

·       Work closely with and [potentially] oversee other team members within the electrical engineering discipline.

·       Coordinate deliverables with other disciplines and the project manager(s). 

·       Work with other engineers and designers on various projects.

·       Oversee the entire electrical package including but not limited to preliminary assessments, concept creation, Prefeasibility/ Feasibility design and Detail design phases.

·       Participate on problem resolution, drawing and specification production as well as client accessibility.

·       Work on several concurrent projects and, at times, may assist as a technical expert on a specialized design.

Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree with 10-15+ years' experience in heavy industrial environments, including Mining, Oil & Gas, or Industrial manufacturing.
  • Strong technical knowledge of power systems, Instrumentation & Controls (PLC and/or DCS), and establishing instrument lists and I/O schematics.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2023 or later, Revit, P&IDs, PFDs, 3D Design software, specifying EI&C equipment, and MS Office applications.
  • Familiarity with engineering and design processes for sustaining capital projects.
  • Pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up experience.
  • Knowledge of MSHA/OSHA safety regulations, industrial codes, and EI&C standards.
  • Business development and commercial proposal writing experience.
  • Experience with QA/QC drawings packages and construction meeting coordination.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with client-facing experience.
  • A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
