The Credit Data Specialist will play a pivotal role on the team and is responsible for the management and continuous improvement of Duquesne Light’s credit treatment strategy. This includes creating and managing credit strategies by individual customer assessment and data driven insights - which include, but are not limited to, considering all factors in customer behavior while adhering to PUC regulations. This work is critical to maintaining the financial health of our organization and is accountable for meeting our regulatory requirements and key KPIs of these operations. The position will assist in leveraging industry best practices and driving a culture of continuous improvement.

The Credit Data Specialist will build and manage relationships with key internal stakeholders to be seen as a true partner for addressing strategic challenges. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven, high performing professional looking for exposure to a variety of stakeholders as well as executive leadership and impacting key strategic initiatives.

Location: Hybrid, Downtown Pittsburgh, PA

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and continuously improve the treatment strategy using a data-driven approach

  • Develop ad-hoc reporting and performance-improvement analyses related to the Credit Department

  • Work cross-functionally with IT and Business Product Team partners to enhance existing Credit offerings and build out requirements for new solution offerings

  • Deeply understand, monitor, and gain insights from credit performance metrics

  • Define and develop new measures of success for credit operations

  • Build business cases for credit-related enhancements

  • Partner with credit operations leadership on execution

  • Communicate credit-related insights and performance results to enterprise leadership

  • Develop new tailored treatment campaigns

  • Improve customer satisfaction across the treatment process

  • Partner with Universal Services team to align customer treatment priorities and efforts

  • Storm role as appropriate to their role and skillset.

  • Support other customer strategies as needed

Education/ Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Information Systems, Data Science/Analytics, Accounting, Business Management, or other applicable discipline required

  • 7+ years relevant functional experience required

  • Additional education and/or certifications preferred

Skills and Abilities Utilized in This Role Include:

  • Must have previous experience recommending data-driven strategies for a business area

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications

  • Must have experience writing and understanding complex SQL queries

  • Must have experience working directly with and analyzing data from disparate sources

  • Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to present in a professional manner and communicate clearly with credibility and confidence

  • Project and time management skills with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated strategic thought partner with strong ability to influence others

  • Demonstrated ability to engage cross-functional stakeholders

  • Excellent analytical skills to identify industry trends that impact the strategy

  • Highly organized, detail oriented, self-directed, and adaptable

  • Previous experience with building reports in Power BI a plus

  • Previous experience with data governance principles a plus
