Job Description: Crane Operator

The job of the Overhead Crane Operator is to assist the shear operator in the fabrication process. The Crane Operator may perform a variety of tasks throughout their shift.

• Assist the Shear Machine Operator in the fabrication of steel rebar.
• Locate, attach, and fly bundles of steel up to the shear operator as it is needed.
• Assist the shear operator by shaking out bars and prepare the bars to be cut.
• After cutting, assist shear operator by tying up bundles and removing from the shear.
• Touch up ends of DOT designated bundles with epoxy paint from an air sprayer to meet DOT standards.
• The shear machine operator and the crane operator work together as a team to be efficient.

• Ability to stand for entire shift.
• Able to communicate with others
• Previous overhead crane operator experience
• Safety Minded
• Reliability
• Flexibility to train on first shift and switch to second shift in the near future
• Eagerness to learn

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
