The Arcanum Group Construction Management Program Manager/Engineer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
The Arcanum Group is seeking a Construction Management Program Manager to lead our Construction Management Division. This remote position will assist the leadership team build and elevate the Construction Management brand by creating and implementing the group's business plan, and drive employee programs that foster a positive work environment and help develop each employee to their full potential. Construction services for the division includes construction administration, construction oversight, inspection, scheduling, reporting, dispute resolution, documentation and quality control, pre-construction services, and stakeholder communication.
Responsibilities
Partners with clients to support construction management projects from concept to completion; ensures that projects are completed to customer’s satisfaction by meeting client needs, business objectives and project guidelines
Identifies project risks and mitigates throughout the project lifecycle while routinely resolving difficult construction project issues with significant financial impact
Monitors project performance through appropriate financial and quality controls
Provides primary construction management consulting services to clients of various sizes
Interacts with senior government or public officials and/or executive level clients on significant program matters often requiring coordination between organizations
Assesses and manages risk on behalf of The Arcanum Group and our clients
Supports development of quarterly and/or annual budget objectives
Provides oversight and direction to Construction Project Managers/Engineers, and other construction support staff, client staff and subcontractors as well as provides supervision and mentorship to developing engineers/construction management personnel
Successfully conveys organizational mission, vision, values, and strategies to the Construction Management Team
Establishes Construction Management Project planning and oversees implementation of supportive activities
Develops bid packages supporting Company technical objectives, business needs and revenue growth which includes f acilitating content and support for new project pursuits, recruitment and technical proposal writing
Builds upon current business practices and implements related strategies, including client relationship development, and continuous process improvements
Provides input to further enhancements of standard operating procedures and processes
Initiates and authorizes access to appropriate data and coordinates efforts with personnel in other departments; project managers; outside design firms and client representatives
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Master's degree is preferred
Certifications: Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Professional Engineer (PE)
OSHA 30 Hour Training Certification preferred
Experience: 10-15 years of related experience with program, project, design and construction management experience through all phases. From pre-design activities establishing budgets, schedules and building teams, to design, bidding, construction and closeout. Program and Construction Management experience such as major multi-faceted capital projects, experience with ground up and renovation work, and experience working with large agencies
Requires project and client management experience including management of multiple projects of significant scope and complexity
Supervisory Experience: 5+ years
Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, analytical and creative thinking, and excellent leadership and organizational skills in a team-oriented environment
Travel estimated to be at least 30%
