Reference #: 4080 RK&K, one of the nation's top consulting firms, is seeking a Facilities Construction Manager for our Program and Construction Management division working on Facilities and Maintenance projects in Pittsburgh area.
Essential Function Develop and manage construction schedules, ensuring timely completion of projects. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders. Review and approve project plans, designs, and specifications. Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality. Supervise all phases of construction, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and compliance. Address and resolve any on-site issues or delays. Implement and monitor quality control processes. Ensure all construction activities comply with local codes, regulations, and environmental requirements. Develop and enforce safety protocols on-site. Lead and manage construction teams, including inspectors and site personnel. Oversee installation and commissioning of building systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical). Ensure that facilities are designed and built to accommodate the intended functions and operations.
Preferred Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field OR Minimum 5 years of construction/construction management experience, preferably in transit/rail facilities. Project management, problem-solving, negotiation, and strong communication skills. Experience working with local transit agencies is highly preferred. CCM certification may be preferred. Familiarity with FTA guidelines, FRA standards, and local/state regulations
