Job Description :
GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Provides service support and preventive maintenance on general biomedical equipment (e.g., infusion pumps, ophthalmoscopes, vacuum regulators, SCDs, etc.) and general imaging modalities (e.g. general radiology rooms, ultrasound, processors, etc.) during normal working hours and on-call rotation as required.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responds to unscheduled service requests from users by performing initial problem verification,
troubleshooting, and problem correction. (35%)
Completes scheduled maintenance in accordance with PM Inspection and Protocol management plan. Initiates and completes documentation after repair or PM is completed. (45%)
Assist in med equipment installation as required. (10%)
Assists other technical positions in Clinical Engineering and other departments in the system as required. (5%)
Attend manufacture service schools, in house training and self-directed study as required. (5%)
Performs all other duties as assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum
- Graduate from an electronic technical school OR 3 years of relevant and progressive experience
Preferred
Associate's Degree in biomedical or electronic engineering.
1-3 years’ hands on experience performing direct repair and maintenance on bio medical equipment.
