We are excited to be launching our next generation heart lung machine and are currently looking to add Sales Trainer to our team. The Cardiopulmonary Sales Trainer will play a critical role in the launch of the Essenz Perfusion System, as we embark on a #NewEraOfPerfusion, as well as support the comprehensive suite of LivaNova perfusion products.

RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY

This position is responsible for development and facilitation of sales training plans and programs to the organization's sales trainees and personnel. Responsibilities include including the curriculum, material, execution of the training, contacting/scheduling internal or outside lecturers, as well as responsibilities on the full scope of Learning & Development. This role includes project management, development and auditing trainings, execution of programs, development of new program design and support for external/customer training resources.

PRIMARY ACTIVITIES

Responsible for identification of ongoing training needs, curriculum development and pull through for an experienced Cardiopulmonary sales team across the US and Canada.

Strategically design and execute training courses for current and new product launches, including Account Executives and Regional Managers to LivaNova.

Successfully lead and educate Account Executives with varying levels of industry experience, based on sound adult learning principles and identified business needs.

Strategically align course objectives, content, and workshops to deliver on marketing and sales objectives.

Collaborate with product managers, marketing leadership, and clinical specialists to incorporate new products, messaging and content into programs and courses.

Deliver effective facilitation, presentation, and coaching skills throughout training initiatives, providing constructive feedback to participants and managers as necessary.

Perform training needs assessments in partnership with the leadership team and create targeted training programs to meet identified business needs.

Responsible for training new members of Cardiopulmonary team through a strategically designed and executed training course, including new Account Executives and new Regional Managers to LivaNova.

Maintain knowledge and understanding of trends and changes in healthcare and perfusion.

Model compliance throughout all activities and interactions.

Maintain and track training documentation, ensuring records are complete.

Develop and mentor Field Sales Trainers and any potential sales training support colleague.

Drive ongoing learning needs analysis, design, scripting, development, assessment, implementation and evaluation of training materials to ensure alignment with business strategy

Manage training budget

Develop, design and facilitate training programs and materials for new and existing sales representatives that strengthen LivaNova's sales strategy

Manage IST (initial sales training) program courses for all new sales, marketing, case management and field clinical hires as needed.

Manage, implement and facilitate training programs to include product and IMPACT sales effectiveness

Conduct customer visit onsite or vis field rides to obtain a better understanding of our sales process; incorporate knowledge into ongoing training programs

Monitor training initiatives to ensure they result in desired performance enhancements and increase operational efficiencies. Measure effectiveness of training processes and ensures standardization of training processes.

Serve and lead cross functional collaborations with Sales and Marketing to jointly develop product positioning/messaging

Collaborate with sales management team to develop, design and implement product specific training curriculum and materials

Develop and implement ongoing tools

Collaborate with Compliance Officer to ensure compliance into all aspects of sales training.

Manage vendor relations when applicable

Perform other duties as may be required by management.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This position may require moderate business travel of 20% or more of the time.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

BA or BS in business, adult education, or medical related field.

2+ years of experience in a national sales training department with experience in curriculum development and delivery is required.

Experience in sales coaching and sales development with current and new team members.

Medical device or pharmaceutical industry experience is required in sales or training (both preferred).

Experience and proven track record in sales.

Demonstrated, strong knowledge of training systems management, strategic planning, needs assessment, measurement and cost benefit analysis is required.

Proven ability to understand business strategy; and translate it into learning solutions that support the company's business goals.

Strong facilitation and platform skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

5 + years of experience as a successful sales representative selling pharmaceuticals or medical equipment.

Understanding of the competencies of medical or pharmaceutical sales representative and able to teach desired competencies.

Strong clinical background.

Successful experience in delivering educational training in an adult learning environment.

Pay Transparency: A reasonable estimate of the annual base salary for this position is $120,000- $140,000 + discretionary annual bonus. Pay ranges may vary by location. Our commitment to Diversity & Inclusion:
