UPMC Campaign Strategist (hybrid) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

UPMC Health Plan is hiring a full time Campaign Strategist for our Marketing Communications Department. This role is hybrid for the Pittsburgh area, but the leadership team may be open to a candidate out of state.

As the Campaign Strategist you are responsible for, building, executing, and evaluating integrated marketing campaign strategies and tactical execution plans that support business goals and objectives while also delivering an easy-to-understand message to promote behavior change towards existing members living their healthiest life possible. You will be part of our “Member Engagement” and will collaboration with departments inside and outside marketing. As such, you will be able to develop and foster relationships to “get stuff done.”

While the main focus is to develop and execute ongoing communication campaigns, you will also be responsible for many one-off projects and requests as part of our team’s day-to-day operational member support.

As the Campaign Strategist, you will focus heavily on closing “gaps in care” with Pediatric and Maternity communications but will also likely work on preventive health, condition management, health and wellness, member satisfaction, pharmacy and other topics as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to turn business goals and objectives into easy-to-understand communications, that change behavior toward making healthy decisions, through unified campaign strategies that incorporate targeting, messaging, appropriate calls to action, timing, estimating, budget and more.

  • Continually monitor and analyze campaigns through Power BI dashboard and make recommendations on changes needed.

  • Manage projects and inventory to ensure timely delivery, optimize efficiency, and calculate ROI when applicable, adhering to a set budget.

  • Ensure coordination and clear communication among constituents throughout the course of the campaign and/or projects.

  • Manage project tasks, ensuring all reviews (compliance, legal, privacy and government) are completed, while collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to meet deadlines using our PMS, Adobe Workfront and PBI.

  • Develop relationships and trust with internal department collaborators as well as internal “client” partners

  • Routinely attend and/or lead status meetings, keep stakeholders informed and perform weekly and monthly duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, business or related field.

  • 3 years of marketing, marketing communications or public relations experience, preferable within an agency setting.

  • Experience using data to make decisions and evaluate results is highly preferred.

  • Must be able to present to other with ease.

  • Highly organized and must be able to think critically.

  • Experience with agile or lean practices/ ways of working is a plus

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Knowledge of healthcare market.

  • Demonstrated success in overcoming obstacles and launching campaigns on time and on budget.

  • Proven experience and demonstrable results in execution and measuring marketing campaigns.

  • Ability to build consensus among various internal and works well as team member.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.

  • Online/social marketing knowledge. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
