UPMC Business Analyst, Value Based Care in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
UPMC Corporate Quality is hiring a Business Analyst, Value Based Care to join our team! This role will work standard business hours Monday through Fridays. At times, the individual can attend meetings as early as 7AM or as late as 5PM when needed. The role will be primarily remote and will work onsite anywhere from 2 to 3 days per month for mandatory meetings.
This position will be part of the Value Based Care team at The Wolff Center. The Wolff Center is UPMCs corporate quality group that supports systemwide quality performance improvement and provides analytic insights into the data associated with value-based care programs. This position will support both hospital and physician quality program methodology.

Responsibilities:
Ability to work with large data sets and financial reports
Reviews and understands regulatory rules governing quality measures
Provides clear and meaningful reports for Leadership, staff, and other stakeholders
Manages data from multiple quality data sources as appropriate
Collaborates with key stakeholders to optimize compliance with quality metrics
Establishes and/or monitors dashboards for internal monitoring of quality performance across multiple platforms
Analyzes and interprets quality data, identifies trends in performance, and offers suggestions for improvement
Performs cost-benefit analysis of implementing new metrics, discontinuing old metrics and relative value to UPMC
Maintains appropriate documentation of existing processes
Protects the integrity and confidentiality of all data and information and protects proprietary information
Effectively prioritizes work and completes all assignments timely
Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Educational/Knowledge Requirements:
Bachelors degree in business, mathematics, statistics, healthcare, management or related field is required.
Minimum of three years experience in business/industry specialty required
Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, interpersonal skills and organizational skills required
Knowledge of various aspects of healthcare quality and process improvement preferred
Knowledge of HEDIS/Stars Quality Measures a plus
Knowledge of commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare products preferred
Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite and other data applications, including the ability to create presentation materials in Power Point and advanced formulas and functions in Excel are preferred Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
