Overall Purpose:

The Business Support Analyst will be responsible for workforce analytics and reporting for the various Meter Operations teams. This position will prepare monthly dashboard reports to track the goals and objectives of all groups within Meter Operations, track safety statistics and training programs, as well as work with the management team members to ensure all of the process and procedures for all workgroups are updated with version control.

Location: Hybrid (see below), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at Woods Run Complex

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare dashboard reports to track the goals and objectives set for the various teams within Meter Operations. Run queries and prepare monthly reports to track and monitor overall efficiency of the various work streams.

  • Track and report on staffing levels and prepare workforce utilization analyses to assist the management team in responding to changes in work volumes.

  • Assist the management team in documenting and organizing current state procedures and processes by workgroup and establish a repository and version control processes to ensure all employees have up-to-date procedures and work practices. Assist the management team members in preparing O&M and Capital budgets as well as monthly variance reports. Assist in the preparation of budget forecasts for future years based on trending analysis and future outlook projections.

  • Assist the management team with project metrics and reporting for high profile projects within Meter Operations. Analysis of resource availability, project timeline management, and escalation to managers of identified constraints. Performs benchmarking studies with other utilities to support adherence to best practices.

  • Analyze and monitor field work and assist in tracking overall completion accuracy and compliance. Assist in developing and maintaining processes to identify and correct completion results as necessary.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or Finance required.

  • Two (2+) or more years of experience is required, with working knowledge and experience in finance, budgeting, and workforce analysis.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent analytical ability.

  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, SQL, Visio, PowerPoint, Microsoft PowerBI, and general dashboard reporting.

  • Experience with Oracle CC&B, MWM, and MDM preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform duties and activities associated with office work. Valid driver license as some travel between service centers may be required.

Scope:

Primary focus is on daily deliverables, outputs, and reporting. Typically accountable for managing one’s own time and workflow. Responsible for using prescribed guidelines to analyze situations and solve problems. Work is typically of moderate complexity, requiring the incumbent to draw on previous knowledge to perform role. Continues to build knowledge base and develop capabilities by partnering with more experienced staff as needed. w

Decision Impact:

Problems and issues faced are vague but may be recognizable based on past experience. Accountable for some direct level of reasoning and decision making in straightforward situations based on precedents.

Hybrid Work

Position follows our hybrid work model, with a minimum of two days working in the office and the remaining days working remotely. Reporting location and frequency may be subject to change based on job role and department needs.

Storm Roles
