Assistant/Associate/Professor, NT full-time
The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center's Department of Radiology is searching for full-time faculty members at any rank. Appointees will have responsibilities in adult neuroradiology including the brain, head and neck, and spine.
The Division of Neuroradiology is composed of 13 fellowship-trained CAQ-certified faculty, who interpret neuroradiology examinations from our core academic hospital and our cancer center, as well as interpret or consult on difficult neuroradiology cases throughout the UPMC health system. Mentorship and career development are emphasized within the division. Specialization within neuroradiology is encouraged.
Research opportunities and support are abundant, but clinical applicants are also encouraged. The MR Research Center and the PET Research Center form the core of the research environment and provide support to numerous multi-departmental translational and clinical research opportunities. Dedicated research coordinators are available for funded and unfunded research. The hospital system has been repeatedly named to the US News and World Report's Honor Roll and is a leading center for otolaryngology, neurosurgery, endoscopic skull base surgery, trauma services, and neuro-oncology. UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, where the neuroradiology division is centered, is a Level I Trauma Center. The Hillman Cancer Institute provides nationally-recognized multidisciplinary care for neuro-oncology and head and neck cancer patients.

The practice is supported by fully-staffed clinical offices, reading room support personnel, residents, and neuroradiology fellows. Our robust neuroradiology procedural services are supported by neuroradiology-specific nurses and physician assistants.
Duties will be a mix of clinical, teaching, and academic responsibilities. Candidates must have an MD degree or equivalent, must be board eligible or certified in radiology, and must be eligible for unrestricted licensure in Pennsylvania. Completion of an ACGME accredited diagnostic radiology residency is required. Fellowship training in Neuroradiology or equivalent experience is required.
