Position Description:

 

We are looking for an AI Engineer to join our Information Technology Team in our Pittsburgh office. Candidates must have a Masters in AI in Civil Engineering with 0-2 years of relevant experience. Candidates must be proficient in Python, R, or similar programming languages. Candidates must have hands-on experience with machine learning algorithms, deep learning techniques, and AI systems. Candidates must also be self-motivated, work well with others, and have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule is available after 30 days of employment.

Typical responsibilities include:

- - Research and Development: Research and implement advanced machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems. - Model Training and Optimization: *Build, train, and optimize AI models (including NLP, computer vision, and other machine learning applications) using data sets from various sources. - *Data Processing: Collect, preprocess, and analyze large datasets to build AI models and make data-driven decisions. - Algorithm Selection: Identify the most appropriate machine learning algorithms for given use cases. - AI Deployment: Deploy AI models into production and monitor their performance, making adjustments and improvements as necessary. - Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, software developers, and other stakeholders to integrate AI solutions into systems and workflows. - Automation: Automate manual tasks by building AI systems that can streamline and optimize processes across the organization. - Testing and Validation: Design and execute experiments to validate AI models, ensuring they meet performance and accuracy standards. - Staying Updated: Stay informed of the latest developments in AI technologies and continuously improve models and methodologies. - Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of AI systems, processes, and projects for easy handover and scalability. - Maintain a safe working environment

Education:

- - Masters in AI in Civil Engineering

Skills/Experience:

- - Zero to two years of experience - Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages. - AI/ML Skills: Hands-on experience with machine learning algorithms, deep learning techniques, and AI systems (e.g., NLP, computer vision, reinforcement learning). - Cloud Experience: Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure for model training and deployment. - Data Management: Experience working with large-scale datasets, data wrangling, and data visualization tools. - Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design innovative AI solutions. - Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present findings and collaborate with diverse teams. - Tools and Libraries: Familiarity with AI libraries, tools, and platforms (e.g., Keras, OpenCV, Hugging Face, etc.).
