Administrative Research Coordinator

 

The Department of Surgery, Research Administration and Finance Office is in search of an Administrative Research Coordinator. The incumbent will report to the Director of Finance and Academic Operations and act as their administrative assistant, creating meetings and keeping up their calendar. The incumbent will be responsible for accurately entering confidential grants, account, SPAR and personnel information into the Department Manager system. The individual will also serve as a Lead Effort Coordinator and an administrator in the Vincent System. They will also be responsible for maintaining and creating employee files, system access forms and other misc. reports. Other duties include updating spreadsheets, word documents, record retention and management, maintaining database of documents shipped to Access and working on special projects. The candidate must be able to multi-task and have good organizational skills.

Job Summary

 

Supports senior level roles in a wide variety of complex administrative and office functions as well as specialized technical support for academic or administrative departments.

Essential Functions

Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, both written and verbal, word processing skills, telephone skills, data entry skills. Confidentiality is essential. Must be proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Office, Outlook Email and Calendars, Word, Excel., Must be able to adapt well to quick changes and priority projects. Consistently meeting deadlines is essential.

Physical Effort

Position may entail walking to various departments and other areas on campus.
