The AMI Network Analyst is an experienced professional with knowledge of and some experience with Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) principles, practices, concepts, and theories. Nature of AMI work is varied with some complexity, and usually has some precedent. Responsible for the completion of assigned processes or activities, requiring interpretation of AMI practices. Contributes to identifying improvements to AMI activities and procedures. Assists in the development and onboarding of entry-level employees with AMI responsibilities through coaching, mentoring and knowledge sharing.

With guidance and limited supervision, responsible for working with Customer Billing, Distribution Operations, Telecom and others to ensure the AMI system operates at a level to support Meter-to-Cash and Customer Satisfaction performance metrics (e.g. target daily meter read success %, target daily remote connect/disconnect success %, target outage reporting %)
Very detailed knowledge of the AMI data flow process.
Ability to detect anomalies and exceptions to the quality standards for the data.
Ability to multi-task and contribute to the AMI Project Team during planning efforts, process development and data analysis.
Ability to work and communicate effectively to various peer and management groups across customer services, information technology and metering services.
Identifies endpoint communication issues, troubleshoots root causes, and coordinates with Distribution Engineering, Telecom and Distributions Construction to install and provision new AMI network equipment.
Utilizes AMI Head End System data to identify meter failures and facilitate timely replacement to avoid negative impacts to customer billing.
Qualifications
Required Education, Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years experience or 3 to 5 years experience
Significant knowledge of the following programs, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, etc.
Strong business acumen pertaining to the Utility industry
Knowledge of leading practices for their practice area
Planning and project management skills
Effective troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Willingness and ability to learn new technologies on the job
Proficient at functioning effectively within a team environment, present ideas and opinions in a respective and collegial manner
