GENERAL AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY
To enroll, enlist volunteers, and educate our community on the WSDCA programs, specifically the Senior Health Information and Insurance Education program (SHIINE). This position(s) will be based in Pierre, SD but will serve a 16-county service area of Western South Dakota CAP.
MAJOR DUTIES
Recruit volunteers to assist in program operations.
Assist in volunteer training.
Participate in community engagement and outreach activities throughout the 16-county radius including Standing Rock, Cheyenne River, Lower Brule, and Crow Creek reservations.
Assist in reviewing eligibility determinations for enrollment in each program. Data entry experience is required. Ability to type and use various computer programs.
Hold Medicare Education events throughout the service area.
Hold Medicare Enrollment events throughout the service area.
Attend training and staff meetings as assigned.
Maintain accurate and confidential files.
Other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to use and input data into software associated with programs.
Proficient with Microsoft Word.
Ability to communicate with diverse audiences.
Experience working with low-income individuals/families.
Valid drivers license with no violations within the past three (3) years and an insured automobile.
High School or College degree preferred.
