Cardinal Health Senior Engineer, SAP S/4HANA Master Data and Data Conversions in Pierre, South Dakota
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Master Data and Data Conversions Senior Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and governance of master data and data migration processes within our SAP S/4HANA environment. This role requires deep expertise in master data management (MDM), data quality, and conversion strategies to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions that meet business objectives and support strategic initiatives.

Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.
Responsibilities:
Define and implement best practices for master data creation, maintenance, and governance in SAP S/4HANA.
Manage and optimize master data elements such as material, customer, vendor, and pricing master data.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with organizational policies and standards.
Lead data migration efforts for SAP S/4HANA implementation and upgrades, including mapping, extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
Utilize tools like SAP Migration Cockpit (LTMC), BODS, or LSMW to perform data conversions.
Design and execute data validation and reconciliation processes to ensure successful migration.
Establish data quality metrics and implement processes to monitor and improve data integrity.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and enforce master data standards.
Address data inconsistencies, redundancies, and inaccuracies in collaboration with functional and technical teams.
Leverage S/4HANA capabilities to automate and enhance data management processes.
Identify and implement opportunities to streamline master data workflows and reduce manual intervention.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to support business agility and scalability.
Partner with functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure alignment with business processes.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members and data analysts.
Support ongoing SAP S/4HANA projects by addressing data-related challenges and ensuring data readiness.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for master data governance policies, procedures, and migration activities.
Provide training to end-users and business teams on master data management processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field preferred.
8+ years of experience in SAP master data management and data migration, with at least 3 years in SAP S/4HANA environments preferred.
Proven experience in leading SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration projects.
Expertise in SAP S/4HANA master data structures and data governance frameworks.
Strong knowledge of data migration tools such as SAP Migration Cockpit (LTMC), LSMW, BODS, or equivalent.
Familiarity with data integration points across SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP).
Proficiency in data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation techniques.
Experience with advanced S/4HANA functionalities, including FIORI apps and embedded analytics.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

Anticipated salary range: $121,600 - $173,700
