Job Description Summary

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for People Leaders and employees to provide counsel, coaching and support on HR fundamentals and employee related questions. You will execute our key HR initiatives, providing available and responsive internal employee support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. You will also act as the HR manager of record for employees in Gas Power Vietnam, Myanmar & Philippines and Phu My site.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for employees & managers by providing leadership, coaching and support for individual employee work related matters & assisting them to utilize the HR processes.

  • Partner with HR Business Partners and COEs to execute business-specific HR strategies.

  • Ensure that all employee relations and union management issues are properly identified, reported, investigated and resolved.

  • Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures and practices at 100% compliance to promote an ethical and compliant work environment.

  • Assist or lead on HR special projects or initiatives as needed.

  • Guide People Leaders and employees through the People, Performance & Growth (PPG) cycles driving effectiveness of the feedback and development actions.

  • Support the People/HR Operations team on employee queries that require in-country understanding/knowledge.

  • Collaborate with relevant HR Leaders in the region and Global GP to manage employee relations related matters.

  • Site HR Manager for the repair workshop in Phu My covering all people related matters on site including OTHSAL employees.

Required Qualifications & Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in a HR related area (or a high school graduate/GED or equivalent with at least 6 years of relevant work experience).

  • Minimum 5 years prior professional work experience in a HR related area.

  • Approachable and responsive resource able to connect with employees at all levels.

  • Sound knowledge of local labor laws and government requirements.

  • Fluent in English, written & spoken.

  • Familiarity with working in a matrix organization is preferred

  • Willing to be fully onsite at the Phu My site.
