Robert Half has partnered with a growing tax firm on their search for a Public Tax Manager with Individual returns, Corp returns (bother C & S-Corp), Partnerships and LLCs experience. This role will consist of assisting with preparing complex tax returns, compiling supporting financial statements, reviewing general ledger activities, and assisting with tax audits. The ideal Public Tax Manager must have the ability to review legal documents, knowledge of general ledger systems, and the ability to maintain preserve confidentiality.

Primary Responsibilities

· Prepare and review tax returns

· Implement tax compliance software

· Generate tax estimates and schedules

· Prepare detailed tax reports

· Identify tax risks, recommend tax strategies

· Manage monthly financial close process

· Review changes in tax laws

· Maintain fixed assets

Requirements

The ideal Public Tax Manager will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.

Other requirements for the Public Tax Manager role include and are not limited to:

· Active CPA a MUST

· 3+ years of tax experience, w/ managerial experience

· Pro Series software experience preferred

· Inheritance, Estates, or Multi-state experience a PLUS
