Job Summary
This position independently performs assigned accounting functions requiring the application of accounting principles and practices for GKN Aerospace.
This role is an onsite position!
Job Responsibilities
Establishes, modifies, documents and coordinates the implementation of accounting control procedures, compliance requirements, and monthly & YE closing activities & documentation
Ensures balance sheet positions are reconciled, understood, and aged or judgmental items are actioned to minimize them, this includes both at the RU and Program level of fidelity
Supports the preparation for RU(s) internal and external audits, obtaining documentation and supporting technical accounting matters
Weekly AR/AP cash forecasting management, ensuring accuracy and integrity within the collection and projection analysis
Conduct variance analysis to compare actual financial results against budgeted and forecasted figures
Provide insight, analysis and support in interpreting and acting on financial data
Provide insights into key performance indicators and financial trends
Assist with system enhancements to increase efficiency in the ERP system
Financial risk and opportunity management, including developing CapEx proposals, business case support, financial modeling, corporate & divisional reviews, etc.
Performs other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management to support the company’s goals and objectives
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in accounting or in lieu of this 5 years experience
3+ years’ experience in the field of financial analysis
Advanced Excel, Power Point and Reporting skills required

Preferred Qualifications:
GKN Experience
3+ years’ experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably Aerospace
Understanding of generally accepted accounting practices (GAAP) and all related legislation and regulation, including both cost and general accounting principles.
Strong written, verbal, analytical and skills.
Connects and builds strong relationships with others, demonstrates emotional intelligence and an ability to communicate clearly, collaboratively and persuasively
