U-Haul Workplace Solutions Support Coordinator in Phoenix, Arizona

Location:

2727 N Central Ave, Phoenix, Arizona 85004 United States of America

Under the direction of the Manager, the Workplace Solutions Support Coordinator is responsible for coordination and recordkeeping for programs such as, but not limited to, workers' authorizations/immigration, background checks, Record of Employment, and technology development.

Pay: $19.70-22

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Reasonable and predictable attendance is essential.

  • Assist with background checks and motor vehicle reports.

  • Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.

  • Conduct background checks, motor vehicle reports and drug/alcohol testing according to policy.

  • Collaborate with Third Party Vendors to ensure information is distributed accurately.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality with employee records and information.

  • Ensure completed assignments meet deadlines and follow all regulatory, corporate, and departmental standards.

  • Provide assistance to other Departments and Business Units, after coordinating with the Manager.

  • Stay abreast of new and changing regulations, review and update any all materials and trainings.

  • Provide accurate quality customer service and information for all inquiries via phone, fax, mail or e-mail.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-2 years

SKILLS/REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/TOOLS:

  • Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal), logic, reasoning, and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Must pay attention to detail and have the ability to listen. Must be proficient in accuracy of work performed.

  • Must successfully implement time management skills with competing priorities.

  • Must possess the aptitude to work in a computerized environment, using a variety of software packages such as MS Word, Excel, and Open Office.

  • Must be able to multi-task and shift priorities as needed due to work demand. Interpret, implement, and maintain a program.

Tools/Machinery:

  • Must be able to operate standard office machinery such as a single or multi-line telephone, Personal Computer (PC) and mainframe computer terminal, fax machine, photocopier and 10 key.

  • Use of PC and telephone more than 50% daily.

CONTACTS:

  • Frequent contact (written/verbal) with higher-level management to discuss sensitive situations.

  • Daily contact with team members, supervisors and managers by telephone, electronic mail, fax, and in person to provide results and recommendations.
