Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Talent Management Lead to drive our corporate talent and performance management programs. This role is critical to the success of Leslie’s talent strategy, focusing on designing, executing, and continuously enhancing key processes like performance management, succession planning, and talent reviews. You will collaborate across the organization to streamline initiatives, elevate engagement, and align programs with company goals.
As the Talent Management Lead, you will manage projects from start to finish, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. You will leverage your expertise to deliver meaningful development opportunities that support the growth of our associates and managers, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed for their career advancement. This position offers a hybrid schedule and the opportunity to make a significant impact at Leslie’s, a leading specialty pool supply retailer.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the full performance management process, including goal-setting, mid-year and year-end reviews, and continuous feedback mechanisms.
Develop training resources and tools to empower managers and employees in having effective performance discussions.
Analyze feedback and program data to identify opportunities for process improvements and enhanced outcomes.
Lead the corporate succession planning process, identifying critical roles and creating talent pipelines for key positions.
Partner with HR Business Partners and leaders to identify high-potential employees and implement actionable development plans.
Maintain and update succession plans, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and changes.
Facilitate talent calibration processes to ensure fair and consistent evaluations across the company.
Standardize HR routines in collaboration with HR Business Partners, including performance calibration sessions, talent reviews, and goal alignment activities.
Track and report on key metrics related to talent management, performance outcomes, and employee engagement trends.
Coordinate project schedules, resources, and activities to align with organizational goals and objectives.
Manage special projects and initiatives, anticipating potential issues and proactively implementing solutions.
Generate and distribute reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate program success and insights to stakeholders.
Partner with team members to promote a culture that reflects Leslie’s mission, vision, and values.
Provide administrative and operational support for various talent initiatives, ensuring accuracy in documentation and reporting.
Serve as a trusted resource for leaders and employees, fostering a collaborative environment that drives organizational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.
A minimum of 3+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on talent and performance management.
Proven ability to independently manage and execute end-to-end programs.
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
Analytical mindset with experience using data to evaluate program effectiveness and inform improvements.
Proficiency in HRIS systems and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and facilitate with stakeholders at all levels.
High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in data management, reporting, and documentation.
Experience in the retail or consumer goods industry is preferred but not required.
