Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Phoenix, Arizona. This role is focused on the financial sector, requiring the successful candidate to prepare financial statements, handle client contact, and provide client training.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare comprehensive financial statements.

• Handle accounts payable and receivable.

• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.

• Maintain the general ledger and make necessary journal entries.

• Carry out month-end close procedures.

• Utilize QuickBooks for payroll processing.

• Engage with clients, providing them with the necessary training on QuickBooks usage.

• Manage some aspects of tax preparation to ensure compliance.

• Monitor client accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management is required.

• Must have experience with Bank Reconciliations.

• A strong understanding of the General Ledger is necessary.

• Must be able to accurately and efficiently handle Journal Entries.

• Experience with Month End Close processes is a must.

• Knowledge of QuickBooks is required for this role.

• Tax Preparation skills are necessary.

• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills are necessary.

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.

• Must be detail-oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role is required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, is necessary.

• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary.
