Our higher education client is looking for a SEO Specialist to join their creative team. This position will be 40 hours per week, fully remote, through the end of 2025 or longer.
What you\'ll be doing as an SEO Specialist:
- Apply knowledge of digital marketing principles and SEO strategies that drive search engine visibility and improve website speed and performance
- Conduct keyword research
- Provide ongoing monitoring and maintenance of main website asset visibility and associated keywords
- Write and edit SEO title tags, meta descriptions, landing pages, middle-layer content and conversion pages
- Ensure all aspects of the website are technically sound and meet all accessibility standards (e.g., breadcrumbs, metadata, html tags, link quality)
- Identify & apply best practices for canonical tags and site migrations from an SEO perspective
What you need to know as an SEO Specialist:
- Bachelor\'s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism or related field required from a regionally accredited institution
- 3+ years of professional experience in SEO web marketing
- Proficient with Google Analytics, Search Console, Google My Business, HTML/ CMS platforms
- Proficiency with WordPress
- Able to utilize SEO tools such as Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Conductor and Moz
- Familiar with testing platforms such as Google Optimize or Acquia Personalization, and project management systems such as Workamajig
-Working knowledge of ux/ui platforms such as Hotjar or Fullstory
- Strong understanding of heat maps
- Excellent verbal and written communications, a good command of the English language and ability to provide clear communications among all stakeholdersIn this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
